Gwendolyn Moore was born October 27, 1933 in Stantonville, TN the daughter of the late William  Edward (Buster) Chandler and Martha Beatrice Ramsey Chandler. She departed this life on January 21, 2024 in Iuka, Mississippi at the age of 90 Years, 2 Months, 25 Days.

She was united in marriage to Curtis Whitten Moore on March 22, 1950; he departed this life on September 27, 1997.

Gwen's life was filled with love, laughter, and a deep devotion to her faith and family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Selmer. In earlier years, Gwen also belonged to Mt Gilead Baptist Church.

Gwen enjoyed being outdoors, tending to her yard, or delighting in the simple pleasure of sitting on her patio. Her appreciation for the beauty of life extended beyond her own surroundings; she delighted in the pursuit of hidden treasures and antiques.

However, Gwen's true passion lay in nourishing those she held dear. Her greatest happiness stemmed from gathering her loved ones around her table and preparing delicious meals for them. The sight of her family coming together brought immeasurable joy to her heart. Spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren filled her days with love and happiness.

Gwen possessed a keen sense of humor that endeared her to all she met. Her outgoing nature allowed her to effortlessly cultivate friendships wherever she went. She had a remarkable ability to connect with people.

She is survived by a son, Keith Moore (Melinda) and a daughter, Teresa Darlene Moore Dunaway (Chuck Brady); three grandchildren: Monica Davis (Andre), C. J. Vandiver II (fiancee Jewel Moreau), Blake Vandiver (Hayley); four great grandchildren: Emma Kate Vandiver, Elijah Blake Vandiver, Brooklyn Davis, Madison Moore; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her twin sister, Wyndolyne Moore, and two brothers, Gerald Ray Chandler and Wayne Chandler.
