Mr. Hal Stanley Bailey passed away November 21, 2024 in Hopewell, Virginia. Hal was a veteran that served during the Vietnam War and a retired Dekalb County Police Officer. Hal loved his family dearly. He liked to fish, loved watching football, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Hal Bailey is survived by one brother, Billy Bailey; three children, Tiffany Collins, Bryan Bailey, and Sherry Hassler along with eight grandchildren, Brooke Calalay, Caiden Bailey, Grace Collins, Jacob Collins, Jr., Elijah Bailey, Ethan Bailey, Julie Moore, and Heather Moore. Hal is also survived by numerous cousins.
Funeral Services for Hal Bailey will be held at 12:00PM, Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell & Son Funeral Home located at 2157 East Street S.E. Covington, GA 30014. The family will receive friends for visitation from 11:00AM until 12:00PM at the funeral home prior to the service.
Donations may be made to Shiloh United Methodist Church, 10 Almon Church Road, Covington, GA 30014.

Hal was one of the nicest people I have ever known. He loved the Lord, and he is in Heaven without pain and in the presence of Jesus Christ. I pray God´s blessings and comfort on Hal´s family.
