Jo Ann Berry Maloy passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025, in Apex, NC, at the age of 90. She was born to Bud and Louise Berry of Porterdale, GA, and was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Jimmy Maloy of Covington, GA.
Jo Ann unconditionally loved and cherished her family and friends, and her gift to them was surrounding them with her infectious laughter and lighthearted nature. She put other's needs before her own, and her faith in God allowed her to face life's adversities with a calm and fearless attitude.
She will always be remembered and her spirit will live on through her children: Cindy Bishop, Patti Glover (married to Tim), and Doug Thompson (married to Cecily); and her five grandchildren: Brad, Daniel, & Jimmie Bishop, and Emma & Lily Thompson. She adored her brother and sister-in-law, Buddy & Sally Berry and she treasured her nieces and nephew & their families.
May her memory bring comfort and joy to those she touched throughout her life. It is our hope she knows how much she will truly be missed.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a graveside service to celebrate Jo Ann's life, scheduled for Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Lawnwood Memorial Park in Covington, GA.
