Catherine Flanagan Davis

Catherine Flanagan Davis, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at the age of 75. Cathy dedicated 39 years of her life to the railroad, where she was a respected and valued employee. Outside of her professional life, she had a vibrant personality and cherished her retirement years filled with simple joys. She found great pleasure in the meticulous challenge of jigsaw puzzles, the camaraderie of a lively card game, and the comfort of her favorite television shows, which spanned from breaking news and thrilling sports to her cherished daily soap operas. Her laughter and presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving family and a community of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Bernard and Lena Mae Flanagan; and sister, Patricia Flanagan Bruno.

Survivors include her son, James Corey Davis (Barbara) of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Joyce Flanagan McKee (Dick) of Ocala, FL; brother, Michael Flanagan (Mary) of Jacksonville, FL; brother, Richard Flanagan (Sherrie) of Covington, GA.

A Graveside Service for Ms. Davis will be held Monday, November 17, 2025, 12:00 P.M., at Lawnwood Memorial Park, 1111 Access Road, in Covington. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M.
