Hal Ray Million was born February 27, 1938, in Sedgwick, Kansas, to Texas J. and Dorthy Million. He passed from this life on March 13, 2025, in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 87.
As a hard worker, his first employer was Rubber Slat in Halstead, Kansas. Later, he was a janitor and bus driver for Bently schools.
He met the love of his life, Nancy I. Logue, in 1957, and they were married in June of 1959. He had three children: Russell, Brenda (deceased), and Troy. Hal and Nancy were married for 65 years up to his passing.
He worked at Martin Marietta in Denver (Minuteman missiles) as a quality control inspector. After moving to Wichita, Kansas, he worked for Cessna Aircraft as a quality control inspector. After retiring, he and Nancy traveled through the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii. They enjoyed spending winter months in south Texas, making many long-term friendships. His hobby of flying single-engine Cessna 150 and 172 aircraft was the envy of all his friends. His Cessna 150 was named "Fancy Nancy." One of his favorite memories was flying into the world's largest fly-in on Oshkosh, WI.
Hal was an active Freemason since 1963.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm Monday, March 17, at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery east of Bentley.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 am Friday, March 21, at the Haysville United Methodist Church. A memorial has been established with the church.
