Wendy and I became the best of friends in middle school. I started spending the night at her house so of course Hallie and Jim became my 2nd set of parents. So many memories with them. A specific one comes to mind of going out to eat one night at Hawaiian Gardens restaurant. The first night I ever ate a pupu platter appetizer. We got some good laughs over that and we had many many more over the years. I sure loved Hallie (and Jim!). I moved to San Diego at the age of 21 which made it difficult to visit them over the years but I will always cherish the memories made in my high school days and be grateful for that time in my life. Also thankful for social media and being able to connect virtually to close that distance gap the past few years. Thank you to Wendy for choosing me as your friend. Not everyone gets a great set of parents, but I was blessed with yours too along with your friendship! My love to you all as you grieve Hallie's physical absence. I'll keep her always with me in my heart.
