Hallie Wollenschlager Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Williamson Funeral Home (Williamson-Airsman-Hires) - Jacksonville on Mar. 13, 2026.
Hallie Kay Wollenschlager, 85, of Jacksonville, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2026, surrounded by her family.

She was born May 29, 1940, in Jacksonville, the daughter of Dean and Virginia (Carmean) Heberling. She married Ramon Stone and they later divorced. She then married Harold "Hal" Wollenschlager.

She is survived by two daughters, Sabre Wedeking (Rob) and her children, Stone and Lauren Wedeking, all of Colorado, and Deanika (Ryan) Schnierle, and their children, Madeline, Medley, Grayson, Crayton and Crawford, all of Bloomington. She is also survived by her double cousin, Nick (JoAnn) Carmean of White Hall. Hallie was preceded in death by her parents (Dean & Virginia), Ramon, and Hal.

Hallie was a 1958 graduate of JHS and later attended cosmetology school. She spent more than 60 years working as a beautician and also taught at local beauty schools, sharing her passion and talent with others. In 1998, she retired to The Villages, Florida, where she embraced the community and all it had to offer. She loved dancing, golfing, and participating in the many activities there. Later, she returned to Jacksonville to care for her mother and be closer to family and friends.

Hallie found joy in shopping, gardening, and watching movies-particularly Westerns and the Hallmark Channel. She never passed up a good outing for Mexican food and margaritas and was known for her love of collecting. Her greatest happiness, however, was spending time with her daughters and seven grandchildren.

The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to the ones who have cared and loved Hallie over the last few years and the special relationships they created.

Services will be held 12:00 pm Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Williamson Funeral Home in Jacksonville. The family will meet friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm prior to the service. Memorial gifts are suggested to The Parkinson's Foundation. Condolences may be sent online at airsman-hires.com.
