Hampton Lamar Parris, Jr.

Hampton Lamar Parris, Jr., fondly known as Junior, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at the age of 72. He was born in Spartanburg, SC on February 6, 1952 a son of the late Jo Ann Godfrey and Hampton Lamar Parris, Sr. 
Junior was a member of LifeSpring Church, formerly known as Park Hills Church of God. He retired from Davis E. Elliot Company and was previously employed with Spartanburg County. His favorite hobby was fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Sherbert Parris; daughters, Karey Ann Skees (Troy), Rebecca Ree Davis (Sean), Adrienne Diane Parris (Kayla), and Paige Danielle Morris (Brandon); grandchildren, Russell Lee, Kasey Ann, Austin Lin, Lauren Brooke, Caleb Skees, Hannah Nicole, Bailey Lynn, John Bryson, and Hampton Carter; granddaughters-in-love, Megan Skees, and Jessica Klap; brothers, Frank Parris and Tim Parris (Diana); and sister, Nina Brumbalow.
Along with his parents, Junior was predeceased by a son, Hampton Lamar “Trey” Parris, III; paternal grandparents, Alex and Ruby Parris; and maternal grandparents, Robert and Cleavy Godfrey.
Visitation will be 2:00-2:45pm on Saturday, March 29, 2024 at J. M. Dunbar Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3:00pm in the Chapel, conducted by Rev. Robert Cato.
