With great sadness, the family would like to announce the passing of Hannah (Pempe) Hanlan on Tuesday, November 28, 2023.
Hannah is predeceased by her husband Ivan Hanlan; mother Antonia Pempe sisters Marlene (Don) Baron, Renata (Frank) Thompson, Dieter (Dianne) Pempe and Irene Pempe.
Hannah is survived by her children Terri (Dave) Matheson, Rosy (Dan) Mailloux and Kevin (Lorraine) Hanlan. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all that knew her.
Hannah was born at Twistregen, Germany on March 29, 1943. Immigrated to Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada eventually ended up in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Met Ivan Hanlan and got married in 1960.
Hannah likes camping, socializing, crocheting and knitting. She also loves Christmas and holidays.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Tracey Thompson for all the years of love and support especially in her time of needs.
We would also like to extend our gratitude to the doctors and nurses of Nursing Unit 72 at the Rockyview Hospital.
As per Hannah's wishes, there will be no formal service. We appreciate your thought and condolences. Cremation has taken place at the Foothills Crematorium.
