Hannah Wasserman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dee Funeral Home & Cremation Service - Concord on Apr. 29, 2025.
Hannah Louise Wasserman, age 17, of Concord, passed away tragically, on April 21, 2025 in Florida while spending time with friends.
Hannah was born in Boston on May 17, 2007. She attended the Concord Public Schools from kindergarten, starting at the Willard Elementary School and was getting ready to complete her senior year at Concord Carlisle High School. She looked forward to heading off to Syracuse University to begin her freshman year.
Hannah enjoyed her time at school with friends and many teachers. She participated in the Rivers and Revolutions program during the first semester of her senior year. It was this program, and all of its five extraordinary teachers, where Hannah found immense joy and belonging, new connections to learning and increased confidence in the student and person that she was. Hannah also loved learning about history, presidency and current affairs.
Hannah was a member of a local dance academy, PK Dance, formally Setting the Barre Dance Academy, for 13 plus years. She engaged in various styles of dance from ballet, lyrical, contemporary, tap and hip hop both in studio and competitively. This year, Hannah served as a teaching assistant for the younger dancers, a job she cherished.
Hannah was involved with the Concord Recreation Department for many years, first as a camper and then continuing as a volunteer counselor and most recently as a lifeguard. She loved her time at the Rec Department. The joy and sense of belonging Hannah felt as a young camper inspired her to give back to the community with the next generation.
Hannah loved live music and was always up for a concert. Riding around and listening to music with friends was a favorite and you could always count on her to have a playlist ready. She was a talented writer who enjoyed writing poetry. Hannah loved the beach, sunsets and adventures with family and friends.
Hannah was a very loving and kind daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend. She was true to herself and showed her love openly. Hannah's room is filled with pictures of friends and family, including a Taylor Swift quote from "New Year's Day" that captures her spirit, "Hold on to the memories, they will hold on to you".
Hannah is survived by her parents Charlie and Jennifer, her brothers Henry and Ben, her maternal grandparents Marcia and Steve Sabadosa, paternal aunts and uncle, Frank and his wife Sandy, Lorane and Robin, maternal aunts and uncles, Kathy and her husband Bob and Amy and her husband Robert, and cousins Kim, Tracy, Michael, Jack, Peter, Sammy, Lucy, Cate, Mikayla and Elle. Hannah is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Max and Lucille Wasserman.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Noah Kahan take action initiative, The Busyhead Project. It was always a priority of Hannah's to make sure everyone was okay.
Arrangements are entrusted to Dee Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Concord. You are welcome to share a favorite memory or photo of Hannah here on her tribute page.
