Hardene Alice Colclasure, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on October 2, 2023. She was born on November 2, 1938, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Clifford Kellensworth and Hazel Adams.

Hardene led a fulfilling life dedicated to her family. After working as an executive secretary for some time, she made the decision to prioritize her children and became a devoted stay-at-home mother. Hardene's exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail were evident in everything she did.

One of Hardene's greatest joys in life was spending time with her loved ones. Family get-togethers held a special place in her heart, and she cherished the moments they shared.

Outside of her dedication to family, Hardene had various hobbies that brought joy to her life. She absolutely loved music, enjoyed playing cards with family & friends and gambling at horse races or traveling to Las Vegas to play slot machines.  In her later years, she enjoyed working crossword puzzles and alphabetizing and indexing her VCR and cassette tapes.

Hardene was kind, humble, soft spoken and simply beautiful inside and out.  She never let the trials she faced in her life define her or harden her heart.  She was always there for her family with an open door ready to love, laugh and listen to her children and grandchildren’s problems and give them sound advice.  She loved unconditionally and there was nothing in the world that she wouldn’t do for her family.

Hardene is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Daniel Fredrick Colclasure, her sons, Danny and Ricky McCormick, her sister, Margaret Presley, her brother, Herbert Kellensworth and her parents, Clifford Kellensworth and Hazel Adams. Her absence will be deeply felt by all those who knew and loved her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and compassion.

Hardene is survived by her two daughters, Paige Colclasure (Brad) of Bryant, Arkansas, and Shannon Davis (late husband, Steve) of Hot Springs, Arkansas. Her grandchildren, Zack Davis (Krystal) and Stephanie Tanner (Gary), were a constant source of joy in her life. Hardene also took great delight in watching her great-grandchildren – Rylee Adams, Lanee Davis, Davis Tanner, Brooks Tanner, and Linzee Threlkeld – as they grew.

In addition to her immediate family, Hardene is survived by her sister Sue Farish (Gene) of Little Rock, Arkansas and brother Carl Bores (Carolyn "Tootie") of Little Rock, Arkansas. Their bond was unbreakable through the years. Many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends also feel the loss of Hardene profoundly. Her warmth touched the lives of countless individuals who will forever hold cherished memories of their time spent together.

Services to honor Hardene's life will be held at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street in Benton, Arkansas. The visitation will take place on Thursday, October 12th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 13th at 3:00 PM.

Hardene Alice Colclasure will be remembered as a dedicated mother whose unconditional love knew no bounds. Her legacy lives on through the memories shared with family members and friends alike. May she rest in eternal peace knowing that she made a lasting impact on all those fortunate enough to have known her.
