Hardy Lee Lanier

Hardy L. Lanier, aged 84, passed away on January 22, 2026, in Wilmington, NC. Born on July 17, 1941, in the heart of Duplin County, NC, Hardy was a testament to the values of hard work and dedication.

A man who worked tirelessly with his hands, Hardy built a life and legacy through sheer determination and perseverance. He established his own business installing garage doors, embodying the spirit of an entrepreneur and craftsman. His life was a beacon of inspiration, illustrating what can be achieved through commitment and effort.

Preceded in death by his beloved parents, Henry and Rebecca (Batts) Lanier, his cherished wife, Mary Frances Lanier, and his son Robbie Wadefield Lanier, Hardy's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind, including Michael Forsythe and his other grandchildren, who were his pride and joy.

Funeral services will be private, held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Wilmington Funeral & Cremation - Village Road Chapel, Leland.
