Gary M. Seefelt, born June 10, 1962, in
Trenton, NJ, cast his final line in the waters of life on March 9, 2026, in
Leland, NC, at the age of 63. His journey from the Garden State to the Tar Heel State was as colorful and lively as the heavy metal anthems he so adored.
For eight years, Gary was the undisputed champion of Route Sales at Frito Lay, where he could sell chips like a maestro conducts an orchestra. More than just a top salesman, he was a maestro of safety and collected awards like some collect stamps.
When not charming customers and outsmarting traffic hazards, Gary could be found with a fishing pole in one hand and a video game controller in the other. Whether hunting in the great outdoors or battling digital foes, he approached all endeavors with zest. With heavy metal music serving as his life's soundtrack, he found equal joy in camping under the stars and playing ball with his devoted dog, Ruger.
A proud veteran of the US Air Force, Gary saluted military history with the same dedication he applied to studying his Bible, always ready to lend a helping hand to strangers and loved ones alike. His tales of valor and scripture were legendary among those lucky enough to hear them.
Preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Juanita (Preuitt) Seefelt, and his beloved dog Zara, Gary leaves behind a loving family and a host of friends who will forever cherish his memory. He is survived by his wife, Theresa (Mohr) Seefelt; children, Michael Seefelt (Pearl), Nicholas DiMartino (Lisa), and Amanda DiMartino; grandchildren, Jaden, Raegan, Madilyn, and Dane. He also leaves his siblings, Debbie Seefelt, Paul Seefelt, and sister-in-law Deborah Mohr, alongside numerous nieces, nephews, and his loyal pets, Ruger, Rosie, and Thor.
Though services are to be announced at a future date, a graveside service will be held at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, where Gary will find eternal peace surrounded by fellow veterans.
In the meantime, Gary's spirit lives on in every fish caught, every heavy metal riff played, and every act of kindness shown to a stranger. Rock on, Gary.
