Perry L. Cisney, a devoted husband, loving father, and skilled craftsman, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026, in Wilmington, NC, at the age of 74. Born on October 3, 1951, in Huntington, PA, Perry lived a life full of purpose, leaving a legacy of hard work and love for those he cherished.
Perry was the proud owner of a home construction business, where he found joy in working with his hands and building homes that became the heart of many families. His dedication to quality and his passion for creation were evident in every project he undertook, reflecting his unwavering commitment to excellence and his caring spirit.
Beyond his professional life, Perry was a man who found solace and inspiration by the ocean. He enjoyed spending his days golfing and fishing, appreciating the beauty and tranquility of nature. The sea, with its endless horizon, mirrored Perry's boundless zest for life and his love for adventure. Perry was the 2009 President of the York County Builders Association. He was also a member of the Hawks Club of York, the York County Corvette Club, and the Revolution Corvette Club of York.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Dorothy (Keogh) Cisney, whose teachings and love shaped him into the remarkable man he became. Perry is survived by his beloved wife, Jean Ann (Ferrara) Cisney; three brothers Denny Cisney (Fran), Robert Cisney (Kathy) and Tim Cisney (Sandy); daughters Tish Slattery (William), Nicole Chamberlain, and Julie Moser (Martin); step-son Spencer Newcomer, grandchildren Kaitlin Slattery Carroll (Mike), Billy Slattery (Chelsey), Jack Slattery, James Slattery, Madelyn Slattery, Hunter Chamberlain, Morgan Chamberlain, Tiffany Purcell (Brandon) and Delaney Eyler. Left to cherish his memory are his great-grandchildren Jameson Carroll, Nolan Carroll, Hayes Chamberlain, Lailah Davis, Leo Davis, Noah Newcomer, Alex Percell and Dean Hewett. These children were the light of his life.
A Memorial Service honoring Perry's life and legacy will be held at Noon on Wednesday, January 28, at Elah Baptist Church, 1527 Old Fayetteville Rd, Leland, where family and friends will gather to celebrate the extraordinary journey of a man who touched many lives with his kindness and integrity.
