Jack Cisney Obituary
He was born on December 3, 1936, in Chambersburg, PA, son of the late Eugene and Fawn Watson Cisney.
Jack was an educator at West Liberty University and a retired educator from West Virginia Northern Community College. He was an alumni of Susquehanna University and Scranton University. Jack served on the Board of Trustees at West Virginia Northern Community College Foundation and on the Board of Directors at Russell Nesbitt. He was a long-time member of Wheeling Elks Lodge 28, and a supporter of Oglebay Institute. Jack was a Mayflower descendant, and a member of Mayflower Society,
Surviving Jack is his brother, Richard B. Cisney, sister-law Lynda, and two nieces.
Per Jack's request, there will be no service or visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jack E. Cisney Scholarship at West Virginia Northern Community College

I spoke with him a few weeks ago. He seemed in decent health considering he was in a nursing home. At graduation recently, I spoke with other faculty on our conversation about Northern. He taught at Northern close to when it first started, Jack was the emeritus faculty member who led faculty into graduation for years. You would find him on the Wheeling campus LRC reading the newspaper daily. I am so sad to read this. I cried. I'm sure other faculty and staff members have good memories of him as well. Deepest condolences to his family.
