Memorial services for Harlan Eugene Gardenhire, 72, of Sneads, Fla., formerly of Sallisaw, were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, 2026, at the Agent Mallory-Martin Chapel in Sallisaw.
Burial was at Akins Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Mr. Gardenhire was born on Feb. 10, 1953, in Sallisaw to Ocie Harlin Gardenhire and Ada Belle (Barker) Gardenhire. He died on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2026, in Sneads.
He worked as a mechanic, for himself and various mechanic shops. Most recently at an equine race track, where he kept the equipment in working order.
Survivors include his children, Jonathan Gardenhire and Michael and Barbara Ann Gardenhire; one sister, Freda and Joe Jolly; nine grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Danny and Howardale Gardenhire; one sister, Betty Matthews; and his wife, Nita Gardenhire.
