Harlan Beecher Prichard 1934-2025
Harlan Prichard, 91, of Grayson, KY, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2025, at his residence. He was born on January 2, 1934, at Johns Run, a son of the late Charles and Mae Kitchen Prichard. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth Prichard; a daughter, Donetta Prichard; a brother, Lawrence Prichard; a sister, Georgia Prichard; and a son-in-law, Randy Prince.
Harlan had attended the Fellowship Christian Baptist Church. He also proudly served his country with the United States Army. Harlan spent most of his working life as a surveyor and retired from South Point Ethanol in 1995.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen L. Prichard; a son, Brian (Stephanie) Prichard of Grayson, KY; three daughters, Brenda Prince of Wurtland, KY; Sandy (Brent) Duncan of Olive Hill, KY; Dee (David) Smith of Ashland, KY; three brothers, Herb, James and Luke Prichard all of Grayson, KY; two sisters, Carolyn Davis of Lexington, KY and Dorothy Abbot of New Jersey; a grandson, Micheal Corey, and a great-grandson, Lincoln Corey.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at the Sparks Funeral Home, with Bryan Whitt and Delmar Rogers ministers. Burial will follow at the East Carter County Memory Gardens. Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 93, Kenova, WV.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.
