Harlean Ruth Albert

Harlean Ruth (Harmon) Albert, 88, of Potomac Park, died December 26, 2025, at Moran Manor.
Born November 3, 1937, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Harlan Garth Harmon and Ruth Naomi (Sheridan) Harmon.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, John H. Albert, Jr.; her sister, Judy Wynita Teter; and her brother, Lloyd "Pat" Harmon.
Mrs. Albert was a graduate of Allegany High School.
After graduation, she worked in Washington, D.C. as a secretary in an insurance office. She returned to Cumberland and was employed at Sears Roebuck. Later, she worked as a cook and then a teacher's aide in the Allegany County Public School System.
Harlean enjoyed her monthly class luncheons. She also participated on a bowling team and had belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her two sons, Todd Lawrence and wife Joan, and Troy Lawrence and wife Lori; stepchildren, Lisa Mesimer and husband Shane, Batina Willingham and husband Brent, and Brian Albert and wife Roslyn; sister, Dainese Davis; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., Cumberland, on Friday, January 2, 2025, from noon until 1 PM. The funeral service will follow at 1 PM, with Seth Wharton,officiating.
Interment will be in the Maryland State Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap.
