Harold "Hal" Homer Anderson, age 76 of Ellijay, GA, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. Hal was born on February 24, 1949, in Ellijay, GA, to his late parents Hoyt Harold and Dorothy Faye (Carver) Anderson. Hal was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church of Ellijay. Hal was also the owner and operator of GA Mountain Towing and Anderson Scrap Metal.
Survivors include his son Jeffrey Harold Anderson, Ellijay, GA, granddaughter Lexie Marie Anderson, Ellijay, GA, sisters Linda and Tommy Burnette, Talking Rock, GA, Carol and Junior Teague, Ellijay, GA, Sandy and Travis Coleman, Ellijay, GA, sister-in-law Oleeta Parks Hughes, Oglethorpe, TN, and Alene Parks Whitaker, Chatsworth, GA, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 16, 2025, at the funeral home from 4 pm to 8 pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 2 pm at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy McClure, Rev. Larry Stover officiating. Interment will follow in the Calvary Way Baptist Church Cemetery with Junior Teague, Tommy Burnette, Mark Harper, Jeff Welch, Christopher Ralston, Jamey Whitaker, and Jason Burnette serving as pallbearers.
