Harold D. Barbra, 90, of Maryville passed away, Monday, May 26, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Harold grew up in the Rocky Branch/Walland community, but he ventured out as a young man. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Army and was stationed in the Azores. Upon returning, he married Lois Waters and moved to Illinois to work at Reynold's Metal Company. Homesick for Tennessee, he and his family moved back home where he owned an ESSO service station on 411 Highway. Later, he worked and retired from Lance, Inc. where he is fondly remembered as the "Cracker Man." Harold loved the Lord. He faithfully attended Laws Chapel Primitive Baptist Church and read his Bible daily. He truly enjoyed extending a helping hand to others-especially when it involved going on top of a roof or climbing a ladder to trim a tall tree at the age of 90! In addition, he was a long-time member of the Louisville George Washington Masonic Lodge #181.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years, Lois Waters Barbra; parents, Otha and Stella Barbra; siblings and spouses, Louise (Albert) Myers, Ruth (Stanley) Garner, Ray (Avis) Barbra, Johnnie Barbra, Charles Barbra, and Thelma (Darrell) Gregory; brother-in-law, George Lowe; son-in-law, Terry Kirkland; and nephews, Shawn Riddle and Perry Payne.

Survivors include his loving daughters and spouses, Sandie Kirkland, Pam (Fred) Plummer, and Kim (Harry) Sullivan; grandchildren and spouses, Ryan (Maria) Kirkland, Seth Plummer, Dustin (Melissa) Koehl, Josh (Lauren) Koehl, and Joshua Sullivan; great-grandchildren, Olive Kirkland, Charlotte and Davidson Koehl, Carter, Hudson, and Addison Koehl, and Peyton Sullivan; loving siblings and spouses, Clinton (Joy) Barbra, Wayne (Leah) Barbra, and Janice Lowe; sister-in-law, Joyce Barbra; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Carol Rutherford Welch, Vickie Rutherford, Gary Montooth and many neighbors.

Family and friends will gather at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Grandview Cemetery Pavilion for a graveside service. Arrangements are with Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
