Harold Bobo Obituary

Born on December 20, 1938, in Woodstock, Harold was known for his warm smile and big heart. He served his country in the U.S. Army before driving a truck for S.A. White Oil Company for over three decades. A proud member of Rock Springs Baptist Church, he lived his faith and found joy in fellowship.
Harold's love for life was evident to all who knew him. His passion for working outside and tending to his garden was only rivaled by his love for people. A jokester at heart, he never missed an opportunity to share a laugh and a friendly word.
Above all, Harold was a devoted family man – a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His strength of spirit and independence touched many hearts, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Mae Bobo; brothers, James Bobo and Wesley Bobo; and sisters, Doris Lamanac and Geneva Edwards.
Survivors include his wife of over 62 years, Shirley Bobo; son, David Bobo; daughters, Donna Blanton (Aubrey), Debbie Bobo, and Daphne Wilbur (Roby); grandchildren, Brittaney Setser (Phillip), Kyle Bobo (Haley), Katie Starnes (Elijah), Brayden Wilbur, and Morgan Wilbur; great-grandchildren, Sara Setser, Riley Setser, Rhett Bobo, Josh Setser, and Parker Bobo; as well as beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Pete Martin, Rev. Aubrey Blanton, and Rev. Lee Rusk. Interment will follow in the Cherokee Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sosebee Funeral Home on Friday, January 3rd from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
Flowers will be accepted or in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Rock Springs Baptist Church Youth.
