Harold D Boniecki, Jr., 74, of Schenectady, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by family members on October 19, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. A devoted husband, father, brother and friend, Harold will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his faith and his love of simple joys.

Born on January 25, 1951, in Schenectady, Harold was the son of a close-knit family who instilled in him the values of hard work, love and perseverance. He shared his life with his beloved wife of 54 years, Janet Ann Boniecki, his partner, in both love and adventure. Together, the two spent many years traversing the country, exploring America's highways as Harold worked as a truck driver-a career that allowed him to experience the beauty and diversity of the nation he cherished.

Harold's home life was filled with warmth and affection he was a proud father to Thomas J. Boniecki (Lynn), Daniel J Boniecki (Jill), Marie V Callahan (Gary) and Ross A Boniecki (Amber) and grandfather to David Boniecki (Lexi), Kayla Pitkin (Adam), Dylan Callahan, Courtney Boniecki, Ethan Boniecki, Taylor Boniecki, Haley Boniecki, Lewis Callahan, Jessica Boniecki, Anthony Boniecki, Andre Goforth, Alex Goforth, Azalea Videa as well as great grandfather to Kace, Kole and Persephone.

His family was his greatest joy, and he took special delight in his last years building model cars and, in the moments, spent with his "girls" on coffee runs and browsing the aisles of craft and home stores together.

Deeply rooted in faith, Harold gave time to the Salvation Army, where he found purpose in sharing the work of God and helping others in need. His generosity, steadfast belief, and quiet strength touched many lives.

He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren and his siblings Cheryl Dibble, Frank Bonieck, Joy Davis and Eva Daniell. He was predeceased by his brother Robert Bonieck.

A celebration of Harold's life will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 3 pm at 3694 Highway Route 20, Sloansville, NY.
