Rose Halbert-Boniecki was born in Brooklyn and spent the last 27 years living in Middletown, New Jersey with stops in Middletown, NY and Bayonne, NJ in between. Rose worked as a workers' claims manager for over 30 years in NYC and more recently found the enjoyment working for the Middletown Parks Department where she enjoyed her daily walks in Thompson Park. Rose had a love of life and people. She could not meet a person without making a new friend. She enjoyed being a hockey mom, being with her family and her dogs, Olive and Little B, spending her time cooking (including her traditional Puerto Rican dishes), traveling, and planning the next trip.
She is survived by her husband, Jon; children, Dylan and Kendall; mother, Carmen; sister and brother-in-law, Jessica and Sam; brothers, Henry and Paul; brother-in-law and wife, Richard and Linda; nieces and nephews, Talen, Sophia, Sally, Nolen, Lillix, Ana, Cody, and Cassidy; lifelong friends, Debbie and Mary; and her many cousins in Cidra, Puerto Rico.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers please send a donation to Riverview Medical Center: Cancer Services or the John K Lloyd Nursing scholarship. This is an honor or memorial gift.
Thank you Riverview Hospital 3 East's nurses and staff for all your love and care.
Arrangements are under the direction of John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.

My sincere condolences to Roses family. Rose was friend mine at work, the Monmouth County Park System. We had several things in common and spoke often about our families and our children“s involvement in sports, particularly hockey, and the University of New Hampshire where both her daughter and my daughter attended. Rose loved her family and was so proud of her children. She will be missed, it was my pleasure to have her as a friend.

Sincere condolences,

Tom Fobes and family
