Harold proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II from his enlistment in Richmond, VA on January 12, 1943, through his honorable discharge as an Aviation Ordnance Man First Class on December 13, 1946. His service reflected a lifelong commitment to diligence and precision-qualities that would define both his professional and personal life.

Harold's passion for problem-solving extended into his hobbies. He found joy in repairing things around the house, gardening, and camping with his family. Also, he was rarely seen without a crossword puzzle or good book nearby. These quiet pursuits reflected his thoughtful nature and sharp mind.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Genevieve H. Buckholz, to whom he was married for 73 years. Together they built a family that continues to carry forward their legacy.
Harold is survived by his children, Robert (spouse Janet), Richard (spouse Vicki), Jean, and Mary. He leaves behind cherished grandchildren, Katherine, Elithea, Adam, Daniel, and William. His great-grandchildren-Elias, Noah, and Evelyn-represent the continuation of a life well-lived.
