Cardinal; devoted father of Angela (Bill) Kuenzle, Sherri (Patrick) Hercules, and stepfather of Jason Burgess, and Heather (Chris) Matz; loving grandfather of Anna-Marie Kuenzle, Alex Kuenzle, Alizabeth Kuenzle, Catherine Hercules, Jonathan Hercules, Jordan Burgess, Jaxon Burgess, Mackenzie Burgess, Payton Matz, Lucas Matz, Nate Matz, Shaun Matz, the late Rebecca Ann Hercules, and the late Matthew Hercules; beloved brother, uncle and friend to many.
Harold, affectionately known as Joe, celebrated a joyful 25-year marriage with the love of his life, Kathy. Their shared interests included traveling, having fun, and indulging in bowling. Joe, a proud and honorable US Army veteran, was not only a skilled handyman and caretaker but also a wholehearted lover. He worked as a sprinkler fitter for all of his adult life, and belonged to Sprinkler Fitters ~ Local 238. His green thumb ensured that his yard was always impeccably maintained. Known for his dependability, Joe was a steadfast presence in times of need and the enthusiastic cheerleader for his grandchildren. With a passion for BBQ, the outdoors, and a deep love for sports, particularly Cardinals baseball and Blues Hockey, Joe found solace in the tunes of his favorite radio station, KSHE 95 – ST. LOUIS' CLASSIC ROCK™. Joes best memories were spent in Jamaica with his wife Kathy and their friends, they referred to Jamaica as "Their home away from home." The family extends gratitude to Evelyn’s House for their care during Joe's time of need. Joe's profound love and warm presence will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
In honor of Joe the family asks that you wear Cardinals or Blues Gear.
