Harold Freeburg aged 90, passed away August 31, 2024 at his home in Orlando, FL. He was born October 20, 1933 in St. Peter, Mn and was raised by his grandparents on their farm on Grindstone Lake in Mn. He was a submariner for 4 years during the Korean War. He owned his own businesses in the underground utilities field. He was a proud member of the Kiwansis Club of South Orlando for 41 years and he volunteered his time with the Special Olympics. He was a little league coach, den leader for the Indian Princesses and a Boy Scout pack leader.
He always said that he was blessed to have 2 great loves in his life. He was married to Sharon Boucher Freeburg for 31 years and then to Judie Brown Freeburg for 21 years. He was predeceased by both.
He is survived by his daughter Connie Freeburg and sons Kyle (Jennifer) Freeburg and Jeff (Cassie) Fiorelli; grandchildren, Jamison, Kacie, Joshua(Milli), Emily(Bryce), Tamaria(Joshua), Justin & Brigette( Wayne); great grandchildren Henlee, Brynlee, Beau, Elijah & Oliver. He is also survived by his older sister Vivian Menth of Fridley, MN and numerous nieces and nephews.
After he retired he spent his days riding his golfcart. He probably knew everyone within a 5 mile radius from home. He always made sure he had dog treats for his 4 legged friends and would greet the kids with his Donald Duck voice. He was a member of the Chic-Fil-A breakfast club 6 days a week where he met with his friends to tell stories and have lots of laughs. He loved to bake and would make birthday cakes for his friends and at Christmas he would make 20+ platters of cookies and distribute to his friends and family.
He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He didn't know a stranger and cherished all his friends. Please join us in his Celebration of Life on October 5 at the Kiwansis Club of South Orlando at 1940 Conway Gardens Rd, Orlando, FL 32806 from 2-6pm.
