In Loving Memory of Patricia Ann Burroughs Cecil
December 19, 1934 – November 23, 2025
Patricia—known to many as Pat or Patti—was born in Mt. Rainier, Maryland, the 13th of 14 children in a lively, loving family. Though her childhood was marked by hardship, she grew into a woman of extraordinary resilience, creativity, and joy.
She was a self-taught artist, musician, dancer, and storyteller. Whether strumming her guitar to “You Are My Sunshine,” whirling her children around the living room, or capturing family milestones with her camera, Patricia filled every space with music, laughter, and love.
In 1953, she married Glenn Cecil, and together they built a life in Orlando, having five children in their first five years of marriage. Patricia poured her heart into motherhood, creating magical holidays, playful afternoons, and a home overflowing with warmth.
Her legacy lives on in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren—in their creativity, kindness, and joy. Patricia was more than a mother, sister, and friend. She was a songbird, a dreamer, and a fighter. Her melody will echo in our hearts forever. She was preceded in death by all her siblings, her husband Glenn and 2 of her children-Glenn jr and Debra. She is survived by 3 daughters - Barbara, Mary and Donna; 6 grandchildren: Mindy Cecil-Tripp, Ken Lundy, Raquel Cecil, Tynan Olsen, Breanne Clement, Jamie L Clement, 6 great- grandchildren: Kadin Solis, Cameron Tripp, Nolan Tripp, Declan, Vivian, and Cedar. Internment at Highland Memorial Gardens, 3329 East Semoran Blvd., Apopka FL 32703 (407) 869-1188 Friday November 28th, 2025.
