Harold "Skip" Heimbaugh, 95, of Mifflintown, PA, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024 at Brookline Village in Mifflintown. Skip was born June 12, 1929 on a farm in Juniata County, PA as the fourth of eight children of Marshall and Nellie (Sheerer) Heimbaugh.
Skip married Patsy (Lauver) Heimbaugh on December 15, 1951 in Thompsontown, PA and they were married for 63 years until Patsy's death in 2015. Pat was the love of his life, and he was her sole caregiver during her last few years suffering from dementia.
Skip graduated from Juniata Joint High School in 1948 and joined the Army in 1952. Pat and Skip moved to Harrisburg, PA in 1959 where Skip spent most of his career at Amp, Incorporated until he retired in 1995. Once retired, Skip and Pat enjoyed traveling with friends and visiting family.
Skip was a long time member of Charlton United Methodist Church in Harrisburg before transferring his membership to Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Mifflintown after moving there in 2019.
Skip is survived by his sons Dennis Heimbaugh and Kevin Heimbaugh and his wife Donna; his granddaughters Melissa McGinnis (husband Jonathan) and Kristin Heimbaugh; great-grandsons Marshall McGinnis and Warner McGinnis; his sisters Floe Hackenberger and Jean Dunkle; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Patsy and his brothers Clarence, Jay, Don, Leroy and Ralph.
A Memorial service will be held in early 2025 at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Skip's name can be directed to Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 109 N. Third Street, Mifflintown, PA 17059.
