Harold George Hudson
November 7, 1939 - January 28, 2026
It is with deep sorrow that we mourn the passing of Harold George Hudson, age 86, of
Ramsey, Indiana. Harold was born in
Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on November 7, 1939, and entered the Kingdom of God on January 28, 2026. A man of great faith, intelligence, and heart, Harold touched countless lives with his wisdom, humor, love, and unwavering commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.
A proud graduate of the University of Kentucky, Harold earned his degree in electrical engineering and carried a lifelong love of learning with him. His sharp mind and natural problem-solving abilities led to a successful career as an electrical engineer at Naval Ordnance, from which he retired. He was widely respected for his dedication, strong work ethic, and relentless sense of humor-earning the affectionate nickname, "the agitator."
Harold was an exceptional storyteller, delighting others with tales of his life's adventures. His life was a testament to curiosity, intelligence, and devotion-to God, to family, and to all those he cherished. Faith guided every chapter of his life, and he lived his beliefs boldly, offering wisdom, encouragement, and prayer to anyone in need. His stories were filled with humor, lessons, and memories that remain a treasured gift to all who heard them.
A lifelong University of Kentucky fan, Harold rarely missed a chance to cheer on his team and enjoyed watching sports of all kinds. He volunteered for 20 years filming the local high school football team, a commitment that reflected his generous spirit. He found joy in life's simple pleasures: cooking meals for loved ones, helping his grandchildren with homework, discussing politics, spending time with his cats, shopping with purpose, and mastering the art of couponing.
Above all else, Harold loved his family deeply. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, wisdom, laughter, and love that will continue to guide future generations. His life reminds us that intelligence paired with humility, and faith paired with kindness, creates a life truly well lived.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Edsil R. Hudson; his brothers, Ronald Hudson and Edsil Hudson; and his beloved wife, Joan M. Hudson.
He is survived by his "little girl" and loving great-granddaughter, Jayla M. Peyton of
Ramsey, Indiana; his son, Christopher Hudson of Louisville, Kentucky; and his sister, Darlene Hollabaugh of Texas. He also leaves behind many stepchildren, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and numerous family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
Harold will be forever remembered and deeply missed.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
