Harold Dale Hudson, beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend and respected member of the community, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at the age of 69.

A man defined by his hard work, integrity, and deep love of providing for his family. He leaves behind a legacy built not only in wood and steel, but in the lives he touched and the family he loved. He was widely known for his work in chicken house construction, sawmills, truss building, residential home construction and commercial poultry operations. He also spent many years raising beef cattle, a reflection of his lifelong love of the land and agriculture. Harold also had his pilot’s license and would often fly his father to South Texas to check the cattle feed lots. He served his community in numerous capacities. He served on the Farm Bureau Board, the Progress Water Board in Purvis Mississippi over 20 years, he served on the Mississippi Air Rescue 7 Board and he was active on the Little League Board and coached many years. From elementary school through high school, Harold was active in FFA. Showing cattle and winning numerous awards. His love of animals has carried on through the years and has been instilled in his grandchildren. There wasn’t much he couldn’t build, fix, or figure out. He took pride in honest work and doing things the right way. Those who knew him respected his knowledge, work ethic, and willingness to help others. Above all, he was devoted to his family, whom he loved deeply, provided for faithfully, and led by example. His presence, wisdom and strength will be greatly missed but not forgotten.

He is survived by his wife, Terri Anderson Hudson; his children, Mark Gerald Hudson and Krystal Hudson Lowe (Brad); his grandchildren and great grandchildren who will carry on his memory, Laci Gates, Tyler Lowe, Leighann Sauls, Ryleigh McLaurin, Trent Lowe, Hunter Hudson, Holden Hudson, Karter Gates, Paisleigh Gates, Braelynn Sauls, Ryder Sauls, Aryia McGough, Kennedy Gates, Ella McGough, Reece McLaurin and Daisy Lowe coming in August 2026.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Maxville Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City with Bro. Scotty Chabert officiating.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 10, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the church.

Pallbearers will be Kyler Gates, Sean Sauls, Trent Lowe, Tyler Lowe, Hunter McLaurin, Ben Roseberry, Rusty Rawls, Stephen Anderson, Noel Hudson, Hunter Hudson, and Holden Hudson.
