Harold Edward Hughes

Harold Edward Hughes, 96, of Magnolia, AR passed away on August 2, 2026, at the Christus St. Michael Health System in Texarkana, TX.

Harold was born on August 2, 1929, in Midway, AR to the late Elmo and Mary (McKinley) Hughes. He was the store manager for Talbots Department Store for 30 years and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. He served as Corporal in the United States Army in the 7th Infantry Division during the Korean War.

Harold is preceded in death by his parents; wife Janice Ogden Hughes; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Farrar Hughes; brother, Hoyle Hughes; and sisters, Lori Smith and Libbye Talley. He is survived by his son, Steven Hughes of Magnolia; granddaughter, Anee' Turner and husband Chad of Hattiesburg, MS; great grandsons, Trenton Turner and Logan Turner of Hattiesburg; nephews, Mike Gray and wife Sherry of Jonesboro and Bill Hughes of Little Rock; niece, Jennifer Thompson of Hot Springs; sister-in-law, Dianne Hughes of Malvern; and a host of extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 2, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Craig Cemetery in the Pleasant Grove community in Union County, AR with Bro. Micah Carter officiating under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia.
