Harold Jackson, of Harrisburg, passed away Sunday November 30, in 2025, at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital at the age of 75.

Born December 20, 1949, in Aiken, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Perry Q. and Mary E. (Dixon) Jackson.

Harold was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, as well as a devoted minister, talented chef and man whose heart was big and open to others. He dedicated his life to serving others with spiritual guidance or assistance with preparing a meal made with love. Harold genuinely touched the lives around him.

He found joy in caring for his family and friends, always putting others before himself. The kitchen was his ministry, a place of warmth and comfort. Harold's kindness, and generosity, will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Zeke, as he was affectionately called, leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of those he cared for so deeply.

Harold is survived by his brothers, Moses Jackson (Wanda) of Harrisburg and Ronald Jackson (Eleanor) of Jacksonville, Florida as well as a sister, Janie Mae Gnatt of Aiken, South Carolina. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by brothers, Perry Q. Jackson, Jr., Franklin Jackson, Russell Jackson and Danny Jackson and an infant sister.

Arrangements for Harold will be private and at the convenience of the family.
