Harold Routh Johnson, son of the late Cora and Russell "Bo" Johnson, Sr., was born on December 7, 1951 in Wattsville, Virginia. He departed this life on Monday, June 30, 2025 in Pocomoke City, Maryland.
Harold was educated in the public schools of Accomack County, and he attended St. John's United Methodist Church in his youth.
At a young age, he met the love of his life, Barbara Davis, and began a loving relationship that would last for fifty-eight years, thirty-five of which they shared in marriage.
With his love for driving tractors and dump trucks, Harold was employed with Richard Thornton Tractors and John Miller Trucking. He worked for thirty-five years until his health began to fail.
If Harold wasn't fishing or going to the casino, you could find him at the kitchen table working on crosswords puzzles, or making houses or bridges with match/Popsicle sticks. He also enjoyed putting model cars together.
Harold enjoyed his family, as well as family cookouts. When anyone gave Harold anything, his response would be, "Oh Boy!"
In addition to his wife, parents, and grandparents, Harold was preceded in death by his grandchildren, Brian Davis and ShyAsia Davis; siblings, Estelle Payton, Russell Johnson, Jr., Milton Johnson, Richard Johnson, Grace Hill, and Jerry Johnson; and his brother-in-law, Douglas McCray.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory and legacy: five children, Lamont (Sherry) Davis, Harold (Marcy) Davis, Angel (Steve) Giddens, Larry (LaShauna) Davis, and Laversa Thomas; thirteen grand-children; ten great-grandchildren; siblings, Sharon (Alvin) Thomas and Harvey (Marie) Johnson; sister-in-law, Lydia McCray; best friend, John Miller; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
