Harold Ralph Krause, 88, of Tomball, Texas, passed away peacefully from this life on September 14, 2025. He was born on December 9, 1936 to Herman and Clara Krause in Pharr, Texas. Harold's life was marked by hard work, unwavering faith, tender compassion, and a deep love for his family, friends, and community.

Harold grew up in the Rio Grande Valley where he developed a passion for the outdoors, a strong work ethic, and a wholehearted love of family. After graduating from Edinburg High School, he attended Texas A&I University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. He then served honorably in the U.S. Army for several years. He met his first wife, Maysie Eitzen, while on base in Germany. Their 27-year marriage was a testament to a strong faith in God and mutual devotion. Together, they raised three children while living in New Orleans, Houston, and finally Tomball, Texas, until May's death in 1991. In 1996, Harold married Patricia Woods Harding, and they shared 29 years together with a strong faith in God and devotion to one another in Tomball.

A dedicated professional, Harold spent over 40 years in the oil and gas industry as a chemical engineer. He worked many years for Magcobar and Baker Hughes, and in retirement, he enjoyed consultant work (utilizing a personal chemistry lab in his garage). His expertise and reliability earned him the respect of his colleagues.

Harold also enjoyed a love of travel, gardening, fixing things around the house, and watching sports - especially the Houston Astros. He spent several years coaching soccer for his sons and, in later years, faithfully attended his grandchildren's sporting and cultural events. One of his favorite annual events was the Krause Family Reunion, where he would gather with his mother and ten siblings, along with their families, for several decades.

An active member at Salem Lutheran Church for over 45 years, Harold served as an elder and church leader. His roles at church were important to him. Many members recall his devotion to teaching the men's Bible study and serving communion to the homebound. In recent years, he battled cancer and faithfully attended the Cancer Care meetings at Salem. His deep faith in Christ and strong integrity left a lasting legacy not only for his children and grandchildren but also for every person he encountered.

After battling congestive heart failure for the last several months of his life, Harold's hope in Christ is now a reality. He is praising God eternally with all the saints who have gone before him. Harold will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
