Harold Thomas Kuhn, 76, unexpectedly passed away on April 25, 2025 at his home in Maumee, Ohio.
Harold was born on March 26, 1949 in Toledo, Ohio, the third of six children born to Harry T. and Mary Alice (Dicke) Kuhn. He grew up in several places around Northwest Ohio and West Virginia before attending Anthony Wayne High School in Whitehouse, Ohio. After school, Harold joined the U.S. Army in 1969, serving two tours in Vietnam. He received an Honorable
Discharge in 1972.
After his military service, Harold worked as a semi truck driver, before retiring in 2010. In his retirement, he would spend Decembers creating magic for kids by working as Santa Claus in area malls. Harold also spent his time creating memories with his grandchildren, Montana and Henry.
Harold will be forever loved and missed by his daughter Katrina, grandchildren Montana and Henry, sister Emma J. (James) Mapes, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Mary Alice, sister Joyce L. Robinson, and brothers Charles E., Kenneth T., and Larry L. Kuhn.
Harold's family will be hosting a drop-in memorial gathering at the Riverview shelter house at Sidecut Metropark in Maumee, Ohio, on Sunday, August 10th from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
