Harold L McCracken

Harold (Mack) L. McCracken, born on July 26, 1942, in Lawton, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully in his home on July 28, 2025, at the age of 83. Mack dedicated a significant portion of his life to his career as a Boilermaker and salesman at Holman Boiler Works, where he worked from 1967 until his retirement in 2004. His commitment to his profession was paralleled by his dedication to family and community, where he made lasting contributions.

A proud veteran, Mack served in the United States Navy, an experience that instilled in him the values of dedication and service. He was well-known for his love of fishing, firearms, as a member of the Black Powder Gun Club and, most importantly, his grandchildren, who brought him immense joy throughout his life. Mack was affectionately dubbed "Coach Mack" for his contributions to coaching Little League baseball and football, while his sons played, leaving an enduring impact on many young athletes in the community.

Mack is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years Cynthia; his sons, Scott McCracken and his spouse Tina, and Bruce McCracken and his spouse Raquel; his brother Steve McCracken and his spouse Jo; and his cherished grandchildren: Kristen, Macie, Benjamin and his partner Mercy, Jacqueline Davis and her spouse Aubrey, Dakota and his spouse Spencer, Savannah, Taleena Davis and her spouse Jeremy, Chance Shook and his spouse Heather, and Josh Shook and his spouse Jessica. Mack was also a proud great-grandfather to Juniper, Walker, Eevi, Hayzel, Levi, Emma, Leena, Baylee, Jaxson and Maysen.

He is preceded in death by his father Jim McCracken, his mother Evelyn Pucket, brother Bobby McCracken.

A Celebration of Life service will be held in honor of Mack on August 23, 2025, at 1:00 PM, at the Parker - Ashworth Funeral Home, located at 2217 S Washington, Kaufman, TX 75142. The service will provide an opportunity for family and friends to gather, share memories, and honor the life of an extraordinary man who touched the hearts of many.
