Harold Gregory McWilliams

Harold Gregory McWilliams, 88, passed away on September 16, 2025, at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, GA, with his family by his side. Born on May 30, 1937, at Grady Memorial Hospital, Harold was the son of the late John Lawson and Ethel King McWilliams. He was the youngest of six children. Harold was a proud Army veteran, having served during the cold war in Mainz-Gonsenheim, Germany. He spent much of his life as a caregiver, caring for his mother and his sisters as they aged. Harold loved his family, playing chess and spending time in his little garden. Uncle Harold was loved by his family. He is survived by his niece, Lillian "Robyn" McWilliams (Joseph) Cobb, nephews, Greg (Sally) Grainger, Paul (Cynthia) McWilliams and Richard "Chip" McWilliams. He is also survived by several great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers James, Coley and Carlton McWilliams and his sisters, Johnnie Belle McWilliams and Sarah McWilliams Grainger. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to his caregiver, Beady Smith. A visitation will be held Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 2:00-4:00 PM at Parrott Funeral Home and Crematory in Fairburn, GA.
