Harold H. Mellinger, 94 of Mount Joy, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Wednesday December 10, 2025 at his residence. He was the loving husband of Nancy (Thrush) Mellinger and they celebrated 70 years of marriage in May, 2025. Born in Rapho Twp. he was the son of the late Henry and Emma (Hostetter) Mellinger. Harold was the owner/operator of his own poultry farm. He attended Calvary Bible Church, Mount Joy, and was a volunteer at the Mount Joy Food Bank. He enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, and traveling.
Surviving are two sons, Eugene, husband of Judy, Mount Joy, Philip husband of Sheri, Elizabethtown; three daughters, Marcia, wife of Alan Spoonhour, Rheems, Rosene wife of Kenneth Hertzler, York, Renee wife of Robert Carpenter, Linwood ; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a brother Glenn H. Mellinger, Elizabethtown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his Life Celebration Service, at Calvary Bible Church, 629 Union School Road, Mount Joy, on Saturday January 31, 2026 at 11:00 AM. There will be a time of visitation with the family an hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Harold’s memory may be sent to "My Brother's Keeper International Ministries to Romania."
