Harold Dean "Paw Paw" Rodgers

Harold Rodgers Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Broussard's Mortuary - Major Drive on Dec. 28, 2025.
Harold Dean Rodgers, 81, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at Bonne Vie Skilled Nursing in Port Arthur. He was born on September 3, 1944, to Florence Carney LeBlanc and Adron Moses Rodgers, in Beaumont, and lived in Texas his entire life.

Survivors include his children, Tracey Rodgers Buckner and her husband, Carl, of Brenham; Stacey Rodgers Nacol and her husband, Charles; and Jason Matthew Rodgers and his wife, Marilyn Abshier Rodgers, all of Beaumont. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jacob Douglas Rodgers and his wife, Casey Rodgers; Dylan Wade Rodgers; Dagan Buckner; Kysan Buckner Kohring and her husband, Marshall Kohring; Kiara Danae Rodgers and her fiancé, Jonathon Conner; and Ian Nacol; as well as his great-grandchildren, Adelynn Tate and Lyvia Jade Rodgers, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patsy Williams; and brother, George Rodgers.

Harold was a graduate of French High School and dedicated 36 years of service to Gulf States Utilities/Entergy. He began his career in drafting, later moved into estimating, and ultimately served as an Operations Coordinator for transmission substations. He took great pride in his work and the many friendships he built along the way.

He loved basketball, golf, and Sundays spent watching the Miami Dolphins. His hobbies included spending time with family, building classic cars and motors, and enjoying a cold Bud Light. He was known for his giant heart, his generosity, and his ability to make anyone laugh. He never met a stranger and would give anyone the shirt off his back.

Harold showed his love through everyday acts of kindness. He made breakfast for his grandbabies every morning while they were in high school and made sure to give them a ride to school so they would not have to ride the bus. These simple routines became lifelong memories filled with laughter, love, and care.

There were countless unforgettable moments spent with Harold, crawfish boils, shop parties, UFC fights, and long nights of laughter shared with multiple friends and families gathered together. His home and shop were always full, his door always open, and everyone was welcome.

Known to everyone simply as "Paw Paw," Harold had a way of making people feel loved, valued, and at ease. His warmth, humor, and kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew him, and his laughter and love will be carried forward in the many lives he touched.

Mr. Rodgers' cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard's Crematorium under the direction of Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.

Worked with Harold a long time at GSU/Entergy and have been thinking of him a lot lately. So sorry to hear of his passing. We shared some common interest and enjoyed conversing about our plans to carry out our dreams. Was anxious to see him get his vintage PU restored. RIP Harold
