Harold Ullmann Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. on Jul. 7, 2025.
Harold W. Ullmann passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 5th while surrounded by family. He was born and raised in Bayonne and while his wife, Karen, was from Bayonne as well, it was a fateful day in Belmar that changed his life. Harold saw Karen on her grandparents' porch and decided to approach and ask her out. That moment led to a marriage of the ages that celebrated 56 years back in February. And there is no doubt that these two opposites belonged together. They moved to Hazlet in 1973 and have stayed there ever since, building a beautiful life together.
He started a full-time job 3 days after graduating high school. He worked a full-time job while also going to college at night and graduated from St. Peter's College after only 5 years with a degree in Business Management & Computer Analysis. When asked what professions he held over his life he'd say a warehouse manager, welder, banker and state employee. His favorite job was being a Senior Officer at United Jersey Bank. Outside of work he loved cars, computers, reading and had a stellar memory. He also loved the many pets he had throughout his life and his dachshund, Mr. Kramer, was no doubt waiting for him over the Rainbow Bridge. But his true calling was being a family man. Those who knew him as their Son, Husband, Dad, Pop Pop, Brother, Uncle, Cousin or even Friend, were beyond lucky. He loved them all.
He was predeceased by his parents, Harold & Gertrude Ullmann, his in-laws, Joseph & Alice Aslanian and his sister, Judith Prasch. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 56 years, Karen Ullmann, his daughter Jennifer Sullivan and husband Geoffrey Sullivan of Hazlet, his daughter Melissa Vecchio and husband Nicholas Vecchio of Keyport, his sister Teresa Ullmann, his sister Betty Kuzma and husband Mike Kuzma, his brother-in-law Dr. Gary Aslanian and wife Nancy Aslanian, granddaughters Alison, Megan and Adriana, nephews, William, Cory, and David and niece Emily. He will forever be missed and never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Thursday, July 10, 2025 from 8:45 Am to 9:15 Am at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.
