Harriet Chesler Obituary

Harriet came to Tampa with her young family in 1973, relocating from their home in Ohio.
Harriet and her husband Tom (deceased in 2012) were married for 56 years. Harriet was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, bubbe and grandmother. Her love for her family was boundless.
She was a life member of Hadassah, dedicating many years serving as the Treasurer of the Ameet Chapter as well as working on chapter fundraisers and programs.
Harriet is survived by her children: Max (Pam) Chesler, Eric (Sherry) Chesler, Rabbi Karen (Jeff) Tashman, and Debi (Manny) Wolfe.
Grandchildren: Michael Chesler, Philip Patron, Samantha (Nick) Tannous, Shayna Micucci, Benjamin Chesler, Rebecca Tashman (Dor Assido), Sarah Chesler, Jacob Chesler, Melissa Wolfe, and Lauren Wolfe.
Great-grandchild: Ariel Assido.
Mrs. Chesler is predeceased by her husband, Thomas (Tom), brother, Myron Lavine, parents, Ruth & Leon Lavine, and granddaughter, Danielle Tashman.
She was a longtime member of Congregation Kol Ami.
The funeral will be held at Congregation Kol Ami in Tampa on Sunday, January 5 at 11am. Interment will follow at Gan Shalom Cemetery.
Shiva minyan will take place at Congregation Kol Ami on Sunday and Monday evening (January 5 & 6) at 7:30pm.
Gathering for condolences to the family will be at Kol Ami on Sunday and Monday after Minyan.
