Harriet E Olson

 Harriet Olson, 97, of Hillsboro, formerly of Buxton, ND died Sunday, September 1, 2024 at the Hillsboro Care Center in Hillsboro, ND.

 Harriet Olson was born January 15, 1927 in Mayville, ND to Enoch and Betsy (Hanson) Olson. When a very young child the family moved to the Olson family farm in rural Buxton, ND. She attended grade school in rural Wold Township and High School at Oak Grove High School in Fargo, ND, graduating in 1943.

 Harriet did secretarial work in Fargo and Mayville. Then helped with the care of her parents for many years. After their death, she continued to live on the farm and worked at the First State Bank in Buxton for twenty-two years. She was a member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church.

 Harriet is survived by a sister: Muriel (Paul) Hoplin of Buxton, ND and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters: Loretta (Mayo) Thoreson and Beulah (Palmer) Forness; and a nephew: Douglas Thoreson.

Visitation: Will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Funeral Service: Will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, September 5, 2024 at the Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Mayville, ND.

Burial: Will be in the Aal Cemetery in rural Hillsboro, ND.
