Richard Orin Harvard Huso, 80, was born in Mayville, North Dakota on January 29, 1946, to Ruth Johanna Heskin Huso and Orin Harvard Huso.
On February 28, 1969, Richard was married to Kathleen Mary Duffin Huso and later sealed to Kathleen in the LDS Temple.
Richard was a United States Veteran serving during the Vietnam war, for the U.S. Airforce, maintaining and working on aircraft. Richard worked for the U.S. Post Office for over 30 years until his retirement.
Richard is survived by his children Jennifer Anne Huso Adams and Jeffery Alan Huso and eight of his nine grandchildren: Alex Huso, Gwendolyn Adams, Evelynn Huso, Richard Huso, Seamus Huso, Daniel Willard, Adam Huso and Ian Huso. He is preceded in death by his wife Kathleen, his parents Ruth and Orin Huso and by his grandson Jacob Alma Foster.
Richard enjoyed music of all genres and played the accordion and the piano. He enjoyed camping, spending time with his family and friends, monster movies, cars, and loved his cats.
Rick spent his final years at the George E. Wahlen Veterans home where he was cared for exceptionally well and passed on February 6, 2026.
We will all miss his smile and Dad jokes. We love you.
Memorial Service will be held Friday, February 20, 2026 at noon (12 pm) at the LDS Church located at 505 South 1000 West, Layton, UT 84041.
