Harris Harold Hicks, SR, 102, of Columbus, GA passed Sunday, February 22, 2026, in Columbus. Born to the late Essie Hicks and Mollie Manor Hicks, Harris lived a life rooted in faith, service, and dedication. A devoted member of Friendship Baptist Church, he poured his heart into his community both spiritually and professionally. He built a meaningful career as a basketball coach and educator within the Muscogee County School District, shaping countless young lives with his guidance, discipline, and encouragement. After graduating, he continued his academic journey, earning his bachelor's degree before proudly enlisting in the U.S. Army, where he served his country with honor.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice Hurt Hicks.

He is survived by his son, Harris Harold Hicks, JR and a host of relatives.
