Harry David Bostic, 86, of Indianapolis, passed away on March 18, 2026. He was born on February 5, 1940 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Roy Harry and Mildred L. (Lauderbaugh) Bostic.

David retired after over 30 years of dedication from Naval Avionics. He was an active member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.

David especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He found joy in gardening and photography.

David is survived by his wife of 63 years, Delores (Staab) Bostic; daughters, Karen (Travis) Royalty, Gwen (Jimmie) Russell, and Elaine Bostic; 10 grandchildren; 13 & counting great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Bostic; and sister, Margaret Reed.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 89 N. 17th Ave. Beech Grove, IN from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12:00 pm.

G. H. Herrmann Funeral Home and Cremation Center is honored to assist with arrangements.

David will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Indianapolis Zoo.
