Harry Bucholz Jr. was born in Wagner, South Dakota to Harry Bucholz and Evelyn Omaha on June 18, 1951. He was the 3rd oldest of five siblings. He grew up in Fort Pierre, South Dakota where he also graduated from high school. He married Sharon Clark on September 5, 1974 and to this union, Harry, Patricia, and Jackie were born. Harry worked for the State of South Dakota for the Division of Water and Natural Resources from 1979-1996. He loved the outdoors and loved to fish whenever he found the time.
Harry is survived by his loving children Harry Bucholz III of Sioux Falls SD, Patricia Thompson of Valdosta GA, and Jackie Shortey of Sioux Falls SD, eleven grandchildren: Quan Smith, LeSharo Smith, Mato Shortey, Kimimila Shortey, Kaylyn Shortey, Simon Shortey, Joshua Thompson, Briahna Thompson, Justin Thompson, Simfani Thompson, and Jadie Thompson.
