Harry Joseph Doutre

Harry Doutre, 81, of Pensacola, Florida passed away on June 27, 2023. He was born in Saginaw, Michigan on June 25, 1942 to Charles and Bessie Doutre. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Terry (Stout) for 62 years.
Harry had two careers. He worked for General Motors for exactly 25 years in various positions. Upon retiring from General Motors, he started a second career in telecommunications working his way up to Regional Manager with over 120 employees under his direction. He retired in 2012.
Harry was a sports enthusiast and played basketball, softball, football, and bowled on organized teams. Later in life he took up golf. When he wasn't playing, he was coaching or watching others. He organized countless tournaments for fun and fundraising for the Salvation Army and other charities.
Harry was actively involved serving the community through his church and the Salvation Army during the years he lived in Saginaw. Harry was devoted to his family taking every opportunity to travel and make memories at special events and holidays. He leaves behind a legacy of loving God, devotion to family and friends and an unshakeable belief in thinking the best of people.
Harry is survived by his wife Terry; children, Lynne (Dave) Bates, Greg (Donna) Doutre; grandchildren, Jennie Bates, Hannah Arlich, Adam Bates, Nicole Doutre, Hillary McAfee and Gregory Doutre; great grandchildren, Lyla, Breccan, Scout, Darby, Juliet, Davy and Arlo.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Pinewoods Presbyterian Church with Pastor Joel Treick officiating. Burial will follow in Eastern Gate Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. prior to services.
