Christopher Allan Doutre, 49, passed away at home on Thursday, October 3, 2024. Born in Ypsilanti, MI on January 22, 1975, he was the oldest son of Marshall Allan and Vickie Diane (Watson) Doutre.
Chris had many interests, ranging from video games and cars when he was a young man, to Kung Fu and horror movies, and Detroit sports as an adult. Chris loved his family and enjoyed sharing memories of his brother and best friend, Marshall Ryan Doutre, who precedes him in death. Chris expressed much joy at the wonderful young people his nieces and nephew were growing into, and one of his favorite pastimes was playing Matchbox cars with his nephew.
Chris will be fondly remembered by his surviving family, which includes his parents, Marshall and Vickie; his sisters, Mandi (Sean) Sturms of Ypsilanti, MI and Erin (Alex) Vanderscheer of Clinton, MI; his nieces, Emi, Caylin and Izzy Sturms; and his nephew Alistair Vanderscheer.
In addition to his brother, Chris will join in God's arms, his cousin, Paige Doutre, and his grandparents, George and Rosezetta Doutre, and Gilda and Charlie Watson.
Cremation has occurred and a memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at the Clinton Baptist Church in Clinton, MI, with pastor Jon Turner officiating. Visitation will precede the service, beginning at 11:00 am. Inurnment will take place in the Riverside Cemetery in Clinton, MI. The family asks that anyone who may wish to make a donation, please do so to the Clinton Baptist Church in Chris' name.
