Harry McKinley Ervin, 92, retired lineman for AT&T, died Saturday, September 6, 2025 at his residence in Spring Hill.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 1:00 PM at West Point Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Reverend Terry Peery officiating. Burial will follow in West Point Cemetery with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the church. Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.
He was born on October 24, 1932 in Hickman County, TN to the late Dossie Lee Ervin and the late Mattie Pearl Lewis Ervin Gregg. He served in the United States Army Air Corp during the Korean War era. He enjoyed sky diving up until the age of 80, member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, and was an Elder at West Point Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife Nancy Lee Braden Ervin of Spring Hill; three children, Avis (Michael) Corbett, Marcelle (Dave) Sweet, and Doss (Trish) Ervin; two step daughters, Cricket Merriman and Robin (Richard) Anderton; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife JoClaire Smotherman Ervin on January 8, 2004; and a sister, Camilla Logan.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
