Harry Walter Gash Jr., 75, departed his earthly home and entered eternal rest on March 20, 2024 at Gentle Hands in Hixson, TN.
Harry is preceded in death by his mother and father, Sarah A. Hall Gash and Harry Walter Gash Sr.; youngest son, Brandon W. Gash; the mother of his children Sheryl Gash; sisters Renae Jackson, Cynitha Gash, and Felicia Blair; as well as his nephew, Marwin Gash.
He attended College Hill High School. Harry accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He was a member of St. James Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where he was an usher and attended until his health failed. Harry had a love for baseball, the Atlanta Braves, as well as the Falcons and Nascar racing. He also had a love for music and grilling out. Harry worked at Magic Chef, Duracell, M&M Mars, and Cleveland Recycled.
Harry leaves behind to cherish his memory his son, Darius Gash; brother, Terry Gash; two grandchildren, Tylan Gash of Bloomington, MN and Cabriahn Gash of Dallas, TX; one great granddaughter; devoted nephews, Omar Gash, Petero Gash, and Blake Gash;devoted niece Angela Burke; his children's mother's family; special friend, Levi Scott; along with several other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A Celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland at 3:00 pm with Pastor Martha Tibbs officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm prior to the service. A graveside service is to follow at Fort Hill Cemetery.
